Tooth Implant
A dental implant is used to support one or more false teeth. It is a titanium screw that can replace the root of a tooth when it fails. Just like a tooth root, it is placed into the jawbone.
Implants are a safe, well-established treatment. It's probably true to say that implants, much like natural teeth, will last for as long as you care for them.
If your implants are well looked after, and if the bone they are fitted to is strong and healthy, you can expect them to last for many years. However, just as with other surgical implants (such as a hip replacement) there is no lifetime guarantee.
All On 4 is a dental implant
All On 4 is a dental implant technique where the upper or lower set of teeth are replaced with just four implants. These four Implants act as a support mechanism for the placement of a new set of fixed teeth.
With the All On 4 dental implant procedure, the posterior implants are tilted 45° towards the rear of the mouth and placed into the anterior maxilla, a region of the jaw with higher bone density.
Compared to other implant methods, the All On 4 technique doesn’t require the same density of bone in order to secure the implant.
IMPLANTS IN A DAY
The traditional dental implant process requires a healing period between placing an implant and attaching the crown or other restoration. At our clinic we offer qualified patients an expedited process.
With this approach, you’ll receive a temporary but fully functional crown on the same day that you receive your dental implant. This temporary restoration will remain until your custom, permanent restoration (a crown, bridge, or denture) is ready to be placed. We can also often place all-on-4 implants in a day.
